Well yes guys, the beauty in the picture above is Deepika Padukone from her movie Chandni Chowk to China where she would be seen in a new Chinese avatar.

The film has been shot exclusively in China, as the name suggests is a story from Chandni Chowk to China. Hollywood movie bosses are sponsoring the film. Akshay Kumar is working with Deepika Padukone for the first time in Chandni Chowk to China. The movie has lot of action sequences with loads of Karate thrown in.

The film is a complete kids movie, according to the director Nikhil Advani,“Chandni Chowk to China is a children’s film. I don’t think kids will try to attempt to climb the nearest wall to fight after watching the film. But I think we’ll have lots of kids joining karate classes.”

When he was asked who was better actress amongst the three beauties he has worked with for his upcoming movie and pat came the reply, “Bipasha Basu is a senior and she has got more experience. So I don’t think it’s fair to compare the three as actors.”

That’s because I have gone through this myself and with my husband. I have been connected to some hero or the other. My husband cannot flirt because he is not that type. I guess one just has to laugh it off!”

“It was a train sequence and Ayesha had to run alongside the train. She was running on the platform. Suddenly, we couldn’t see Ayesha any more. We all thought that Ayesha must have come under the train” says Elahe, the executive producer of the movie. Ayesha had apparently fallen from the platform and was badly hurt.

All we can say to these petite actresses is leave the stunt job to the actors. You have many more better things to do …

Ayesha Takia is so busy with her film assignments these days that she hardly gets any time for sleep. “I catch up on my sleep in between shots” she says. Then how does she manage to look so fresh and energetic all the time ?

The actress says that actors have to look fresh, no matter what. “The audience are never going to know what time of the night it was, while a particular shot was being done or for how many hours we were working. They pay for a pretty picture, so we better give them that” ,she says.

Katrina to star with SRK, much to Sallu’s annoyance

Yash Chopra is making a grand comeback after Veer Zaara, and like his earlier movies he wants it to be high on glam and entertainment quotient. And for the same, Yash Chopra has stunned his fellow filmmakers and industry insiders by roping in Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, SRK and Katrina Kaif for his untitled romantic flick.

A Bollywood trade analyst reveals, “When Yashji summons you never say No! Amitabh was given a new lease of life by him with Mohabbatein (2000) at the time when all his come back films were flopping left-right-centre.”

“Abhishek was given a career boost with Dhoom (2004). This Yash Raj film was Abhi’s first certified hit in his career. Shah Rukh Khan is family for the Chopras.”

“Katrina is amongst today’s top actresses. She is a thorough professional and plus which actress would say no to a film produced by Yash Raj the biggest Bollywood banner and that too a film directed by Yash Chopra himself!”

Enthiran makes its way on the net

Rajnikant and Aishwarya Rai starrer Enthiraan is being shot in heavy secrecy, with Shankar not giving the details about the movie. But the forbidden fruit is always tastier and that’s what some people have exactly done, they have captured the stills of Enthiran and posted it on the net.

When Aamir saved Imran’s life

Aamir Khan has been the driving force behind his nephew’s new found success with super hit debut Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, the mamu-bhanja duo share a great rapport and also have immense respect for each other, this was recently seen on the sets of Imran’s upcoming flick Kidnap.

Kidnap has a stunt scene, which shows Imran jumping from the 20th floor of a high rise building, the scene was to be performed by a body double, but the young Khan’s was high on adrenaline and insisted to do the stunt himself. Sanju Baba who was keenly observing the scene sensed danger and immediately called Aamir Khan to tell his bhanja to refrain from doing the stunt.

Aamir Khan asked Imran to do away with the stunt risk and Imran obediently obeyed his mamu’s orders.

An official from the movie, Parag Desai confirms the news, “The incident did happen. Sanju called Aamir because he is genuinely concerned about Imran’s safety.”

Thanks Aamir, you just averted a great calamity that could have befallen on all Imran Khan fans.

Kareena Kapoor misses her asanas

Kareena Kapoor who lost oodles and oodles of weight for her last movie Tashan is having a troubled time, thanks to the zero degree temperature(just joking) at Ladakh, the size zero actress is having loads of problems in working out her asanas.

A close buddy of Kareena reveals, “Kareena is very particular about her yoga routine. But she has been unable to do it because of the cold weather. The cold weather makes the body stiffer thus it becomes tough to perform the asanas.”

Vidya Malavade: Kidnap was my birthday gift

After starring beside SRK in Chak De India, as a team captain, Vidya Malavade went into a hibernation, but now she is back with a back playing Sanjay Dutt’s love interest in upcoming flick Kidnap.

Vidya reveals how she landed the role, saying, “I had a phone call on my birthday in March last year. It was from Sanjay (Gadhvi), the director of Kidnap, asking me if I wanted to play Sanjay Dutt’s romantic interest in the film.”

“I read the script and absolutely loved it. I knew I had to do it and agreed almost immediately. I look at Kidnap as a wonderful birthday present.”

Minissha Starved To Be Bikini Fit

Minissha Lamba is seen in a bikini in her latest release Kidnap. She plays a 17-something hot chic who is filthy rich. One of her favorite hobbies is of course swimming in the ocean.When Sanjay Gadhvi offered the role to Minissha, he told her that there is going to be a Bikini scene. Minissha has been fairly conservative with her roles so far this was going to be her first bikini scene. And her first reaction to this was -

“My first reaction was that I hope I have enough time to get bikini fit, because as of today, you cannot put me in a bikini and shoot. Sanjay [Gadhvi, director] gave me eight months to get into shape. He told me to trust him and that this was a fab role for me. I agreed immediately,” said Minissha

“And for that I worked out a lot and starved myself. I gave up pizzas, which I love, and chocolate cakes and beverages,” she explained.

She had complete faith in Sanjay with her bikini scene. “This is a Sanjay Gadhvi film. He is known as very stylish filmmaker. He presents his actors and actresses very well. And you know that his aesthetics are on the mark. As an actor, you have nothing to worry about. You can trust him implicitly.”

Bebo To Start A School For Handicap Kids!

Kareena Kapoor has many plans for her future. Apart from collecting a showcase full of awards, she wishes to start a yoga school for underprivileged and handicapped children.

Apparently, sister Karisma Kapoor also plans to join in with Bebo. When asked about the same, Kareena gave a reluctant reply –

“I am uncomfortable talking about such things. I feel it’s best to talk when the time is right and they happen. Lolo and I have plans some of building a school for underprivileged and handicapped children. We have such schools all over but we need to have specially equipped ones with people fully qualified to take care of the children and their special needs. It’s been a dream for both of us to have such a school but these are plans which will take shape much later — all in good time.”

Real life couple, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan will be coming together the next month to rock Dubai and start a Jashan with their first single show together in Sharjah.

No Bebo is not a cook in her next flick, this time Bebo has transformed into a chef to make her co-stars healthy.

Kareena Kapoor and her best pal Amrita Arora took the responsibility to cook healthy and low calorie food for their co-stars on the sets of Golmal Reurtns. Kareena got to work with old buddy Tusshar Kapoor in Golmal Returns, “It’s after a gap of 5 years that Kareena and I got the chance to work together again,” said Tusshar.

The actor revealed that Kareena is a great cook, “Very few are aware that Kareena is a great cook. She hit the kitchen when we were in Goa and made awesome South Indian food for us. Her specialty is Paneer Tikka. She put me, Ajay Devgan, Amrita Arora and Arshad Warsi on this diet.”

Well some people are gravely affected by recent SRK-Salman fight, and Saif must be cursing his stars as his birthday bash has been cancelled because of the Khan fight.

Kareena Kapoor cancelled party plans for Saif as she did not want have any problems with both the Khans with whom she shares a good rapport so instead she is going for a small get together for family and close friends.

A source says, “Earlier Bebo wanted to have a big bash but then she realized it might be a problem. The actress is close to both Shah Rukh and Salman, and doesn’t want to take sides and invite only one. Besides, having both Khans at one party means inviting trouble. So Bebo is settling for a small get-together. Another option is taking off with the birthday boy to Goa for the weekend.”

When quizzed Kareena says otherwise, “Goa? We can’t travel anymore after jet setting around the world for the last three months. After the LA shoot, I was with Saif in San Francisco for three days while he completed the shoot for his home production. I have been to Australia, Bangkok, and USA. No more traveling. For Saif’s birthday, we might have a small party with family and friends.”

Shahid Kapoor who was on Sajid Khan’s chat show talked about his pre-Bollywood days when he just used to be a dancer in Shiamak Davar’s camp.

Shahid recollects that one day Shahrukh Khan dropped in at a show and when he saw Shahid, he immediately questioned Shiamak if he didn’t feed his troupe members well. This was because Shahid was really thin and lanky during those days.

Sanju Baba and his gym buddy Sunil Shetty where at the music release event of the movie EMI at Hotel Intercontinental, Sahar. An onlooker says,

“Sanjay Dutt was enjoying himself at the event with his wife and friends when a call suddenly changed his mood. He was to perform but could barely manage to say a few words. He was also seen rushing through the event. It was only later when he left in a hurry that one came to know what happened.”

“Sanju’s trainer Ramesh has been training Dutt for more than 15 years. He met with a bike accident. Hearing that, Baba became very emotional and urged EMI producer Sunil Shetty to wrap up the event quickly. Sanju was so upset that he didn’t even attend the post-event party. Ramesh is a poor guy. Baba admitted him to the hospital and is also paying for his bills,” adds the source.

Shilpa Shetty who was also at the party confirmed it saying, “Sanju was very harrowed that night. In fact he’s always worrying about Ramesh riding on his bike and had given him a helmet a month ago. That saved his life. The mishap was quite serious as Ramesh has cracked a few ribs and has broken his legs but is on his way to recovery.”

Guess Munnabhai should just give Ramesh a Jadoo Ki Jhappi in his chilled style… That would speed up his recovery!

Shilpa Shetty insists that she is confident on the ramp and wished that she must have been a model, “I was a bit scared as the ghagra was slightly loose and kept drooping every time I walked. I told Tarun it felt airy but fortunately, there were no wardrobe malfunctions. I am never nervous walking the ramp and wish I could’ve become a model. I always walk for Tarun. In fact he’s the only designer I walk for,” added Shilpa.

Eesha Koppikhar finds her man

Apart from adding and extra E and H to her name, Eesha Koppikhar has also added an extra T in her life, it’s none other than the latest man in her hot life- Timmy Narang.

When quizzed about her relationship with Timmy, Eesha reveals, “Okay I’m blushing beetroot red now! We realized we shared similar interests and dislikes, we go to the same gym, we hit it off instantly.”

When Eesha is reminded of Timmy’s playboy nature, she gets defensive and says, “See everybody has a past, but people change.I guess these things matter when you don’t know the person, but when you do, there’s no before or thereafter. So do we see the new couple walking down the aisle anytime soon? “Not yet, we’re just happy being with each other at the moment,” she adds.

Kajol to dance for SRK

A source says, Kajol will be part of a dance number with Shah Rukh Khan in the film. The song is shot at Yash Raj Studios. Yash Raj Films is thrilled to have Kajol on board once again as SRK-Kajol films have always done well at the box-office.”

Katrina Kaif the new age Padosan

The movie bosses of Padosan remake have finally found their Padosan in Katrina Kaif.
An official from Shemaroo films confirms, “Sanjay Dutt will play the role of Kishoreda, Ritiesh Deshmukh Bhola (which was played by late Sunil Dutt), Katrina Kaif Bindu (Saira Bano) while the role of Mehmood’s Master Pillai will be played by Paresh Rawal so the film will have great combination of comedy.”
Katrina Kaif is apparently very much excited about playing new age Bindu, a source says, “She will be playing the role of Bindu in the remake. The shooting will start when she finishes all her prior commitments.”
Most likely it will take place in early 2009. Katrina is very excited to essay the role of Bindu which Saira Banu had played in classic. This film is one of her favorites.”

Himesh Reshammiya has decided to go a step further to keep up his hero status with the people who made him famous as an actor and singer - the cabbies and the auto rickshaw walas.

You may find autowalahs putting up posters of Himesh inside their autos and playing his music on their terrible music system all through your tragic journey.

Himesh Reshammiya’s next movie as a hero is releasing on October 17th and before that he plans to have a contest.

Says a source in T-Series, “Himesh has always had a huge fan following among the rickshaw and cab drivers. They love him, his songs and consider him to be their hero. For his debut film, Aap Kaa Surroor too, the singer-turned-actor had done his bit for his large fan following. He shot the climax scene with three rickshaw drivers. This time, Himesh has conceptualised an all-India event for the cabbie and auto drivers. The drivers will have to submit a Xerox of their ID with their entry forms.”

Himesh is also very excited about all this -

“I owe my success to all my cabbie and auto driver brothers all over India, and as tribute, and I want to do this Karzzzz show. I want to do something for each one who has been responsible for my success! The contest is a great way of reciprocating my feelings towards them. I don’t know who else is performing but I will be singing four songs from Karzzzz. It’s going to be a big event and the drivers will be given free passes to attend. We are still finalising the event details but it will definitely be held before the release.”

This way one day Himesh will end up like Mithun Chakraborty. Because if doesn’t stop singing in his own songs people will be too disgusted to see him in his films. And his fan following will be solely restricted to Auto rickshaw walas.

Amrita Rao Gets Into The Skin of Kamala!

Actresses only dream of working with a director like Shyam Benegal and Amrita has got lucky enough to bag a vital role in Benegal’s first comedy ever - Welcome To Sajjanpur.

I am super duper excited [laughs]. Being a part of a Shyam Benegal movie is a high point for me. He is somebody who is liked and revered by everyone in my community. In fact, not many people know that we belong to the same community and we speak the same language (Konkani). So, people like Girish Karnad, Ananth Nag and Shyam Benegal have always been looked up to.

Then, of course, I saw Zubeidaa when I was studying and it is one I still count among my favourite films. So when Shyamji called me for this role, I didn`t ask him any questions—I just said yes to the film. Because I so wanted to be on board under his direction.

“I play the character of Kamala in the film”, she explains. She is illiterate and cannot read or write. She plays a potter and it`s a very rustic, earthy, rural Indian character. Sajjanpur is her world, she cannot see beyond it because she has never ventured out,” says Amrita.

And Amrita has worked quite hard to get into the skin of her character. She dressed down as a simple village belle in ghagra cholis, her character had to look darker so she wore makeup that would make her look darker than she is, she also had to learn pottery because her character makes pottery for a living. And adding another feat to this long list is that Amrita along with other actors tried hard to learn the Bagelkhandi dialect of Hindi.

We hope this movie takes Amrita to new heights as an actress.

Minissha Goes Places With Currents!

During the shooting of Kidnap in Mauritius involved scenes where she was required to take a dip in the sea. During one such shot, so engrossed was Minissha in her mid-sea swim that she did not realize that the currents had pushed her far from where she was supposed to be.

The entire crew panicked as she wasn’t anywhere in the frame because with the underwater currents she was pushed about 2 kilometers away from the coastline and the water babe was blissfully unaware of the situation.

It took the crew of Kidnap a good ten minutes to finally spot the Minissha in the see before they finally sent speedboat to get her back her immediately!

Director Sanjay Gadhvi confirmed the news. “It was scary to say the least but all’s well that ends well!” he remarked.

Kidnap would be a grand Eid attraction as it is releasing on 1st Oct.

Is Lara Dutta Seeing Dino Morea?

Lara Dutta, who is currently single after recently splitting from her boyfriend of nine-years Kelly Dorjee, has her eyes set on Dino Morea. The couple have been spotted visiting an art gallery and a cinema together recently along with a few other places. But Lara still doesn’t want to admit whats brewing between the two.

Says Lara, “I hang out with Dino, I’m not denying that. He lives two streets away and we go out together. But until I have a huge rock on my finger, I’m not married. I’ve come out of a really long relationship with Kelly Dorje and I’m not willing or ready to make any sort of commitment. I was in a committed live-in relationship with Kelly. Right now, I’m not looking for more of that. At the moment, I’m having fun because I’m young. Dino and I have known each other forever. We used to hang around in a group that also included Bipasha. However if a 10-carat rock is offered to me, we’ll see.”

Lol… Looks like the ex-Miss Universe has her priorities right in this matter.

Riya Sen Gets Professional In Fever!

Riya Sen, who wasn’t otherwise quite professional with her work, has had a sudden fit of professionalism. Perhaps it has something to do with the big banners and directors she is working for.

She had been continuously shooting for Rituparno Ghosh’s Abohoman and a short film directed by students of Subhash Ghai’s film school. Hectic schedules took a toll over Riya’s health and she fell sick with 102 degree fever.

But she co-operated with the students because they had a limited budget and time constraints. She kept shooting despite her fever.

Now wouldn’t I call that a fit of professionalism. Of course I would!

Sonal Chauhan of Jannat fame is really crazy about the two Khans of the industry. Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.

And she has her own reasons as to why she likes them. She says,

Aishwarya Rai all set to sing

Aishwarya Rai is known as the world’s most beautiful woman, but going by this rumor she would soon be known as the world’s most beautiful singer too.

Ash is all set to play a classical singer in Mani Ratnam’s next flick, Raavan. The film is based on Ramayana.

A source says, Aishwarya will be learning classical singing for this role. Ideally, she’d like to sing all her songs in Raavan, herself. She’s a very good singer in real life. But not good enough to sing classical songs on screen with aplomb. So, like Shabana Azmi in Morning Raga Aishwarya intends to take lessons in how to look convincing as a singer. She’ll be regularly taking lessons in classical singing from a guru.”

Aishwarya Rai is planning to watch sasu-ma’s Abhimaan to take some hints from her, “She wants to make sure she doesn’t goof up in the scenes in which she’ll be singing on screen,” adds the source.

The source further adds, “Ash was in any case planning to see Abhimaan again because Rajiv Menon is remaking Abhimaan with her and Abhishek in the lead role.Now, she’ll be observing her mother-in-law even more closely to take tips on how to look convincing as a singer.”
